GTAWaypoint privacy notice

This notice covers the current pre-launch website, launch-list signup and community source-submission form.

Launch list

When you subscribe, GTAWaypoint stores your email address, a normalized version used to prevent duplicates, the signup source, consent version and consent timestamp. A unique unsubscribe token is stored so email links can opt the address out without requiring an account. The address is used for the GTA VI database launch alert and material GTAWaypoint updates and is not sold to advertisers.

Unsubscribing

Outbound GTAWaypoint email must include a link to the self-service unsubscribe route. Using that link records an unsubscribe timestamp. Re-subscribing through the website records renewed consent.

Community submissions

A source submission stores the claimed fact, source URL, optional entity/category context, explanation, optional notes and — only if supplied — a contact email. Submissions enter a private editorial queue and do not publish automatically.

Accounts and progress

The backend is prepared for optional user progress after launch. Browsing the current wiki does not require an account. Mission and completion tracking will not be presented as active until verified launch data exists.

Advertising, payments and profiling

GTAWaypoint does not currently need payment processing or a cross-site advertising profile to use the wiki. If advertising, affiliate tracking, paid accounts or broader analytics are introduced, the notice and consent controls must be reviewed before those systems are enabled.

Retention and contact

Data should be retained only while needed for the purpose for which it was collected, operational security, or applicable legal obligations. A formal legal/privacy review remains appropriate before GTAWaypoint scales marketing or monetization.
