GTAWaypoint privacy notice
This notice covers the current pre-launch website, the launch-list signup, the contact form and the community source-submission form.
Launch list
When you subscribe, GTAWaypoint stores your email address, a normalized version of it used to prevent duplicates, the signup source, the consent version and the consent timestamp. A unique unsubscribe token is stored so email links can opt the address out without requiring an account. The address is used for the GTA VI database launch alert and for material GTAWaypoint updates. It is not sold, rented or shared with advertisers.
Unsubscribing
Every outbound GTAWaypoint email includes a link to the self-service unsubscribe page. Using that link records an unsubscribe timestamp and stops further sending. Subscribing again through the website records renewed consent.
Community submissions
A source submission stores the claimed fact, the source URL, optional entity or category context, your explanation, optional notes and, only if you supply one, a contact email. Submissions enter a private editorial queue, are reviewed by hand and do not publish automatically. A contact email is used only to follow up on that submission.
Contact messages
The contact form stores the email address you provide, the subject, message and an optional name in the same private editorial review system used for public submissions. This information is used to review and respond to the message or to handle a privacy or data request.
Accounts and progress
Browsing the wiki does not require an account. The backend is prepared for optional user progress tracking after launch. If accounts are enabled, progress data will be private to its owner and readable only by that account.
Analytics, advertising and payments
GTAWaypoint does not currently run advertising, payment processing or cross-site profiling. See the cookie notice for the browser storage that is actually in use.
Security and retention
Data is stored in a managed database with row-level access rules, and email addresses on the launch list are not readable by the public site. Nothing is perfectly secure, but personal data is kept only while it is needed for the purpose it was collected for, for operational security, or to meet a legal obligation.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data is held about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to withdraw consent, or to object to certain processing. For the launch list you can exercise the main one yourself at any time through the unsubscribe link, which removes you from further sending.

Changes to this notice
This notice will be updated, and consent controls reviewed, before any materially new processing is enabled, including analytics, advertising, payments or public user accounts.
